Wood Art is dedicated to the average woodworker and hobbyist whose basement or garage shop should be the source of great fun and creative excitement.  All the projects found herein are simple, however they may not be easy. The difference is a willingness to get it wrong the first or second try to create unique art the third or fourth try. Trying is the largest part of doing.

A triangle is formed using 3 separate trapezoid's. These triangles are then combined to create this unique display. Ash, Brazilian Cherry and Brazilian Walnut are used. Our journey in woodworking and creativity is a fun and exciting one. Our goal should be too have fun, enjoying our shop time. If you have a lathe, the ’round’ work and segmented wood -turning may be of particular interest. If not, all the designs and patterns found in both  the ’round’ and ‘flat’ work categories apply to the average shop with a table saw. Vase or cutting board, bowl or serving tray – all are ‘do-able’ if you are willing to give them a try. Giving yourself permission to get it wrong is the beginning of getting it right.

This site is dedicated to the millions of basement and garage, amateur wood shop owners who have always wanted more than the “honey do list”. Let the fun begin!
